A DIVINE INVITATION

Without us coming into relationship with Jesus Christ and accepting Him as Lord and Savior, we have no prospect for eternal life and access to the Father. There is no other way to be saved and to inherit eternal life but through Him. His act on the cross was the epitome of love because He loved us first.

If you have not yet received Him as your Lord and personal Savior, I would like to encourage you to do so right now. It does not take a long period of training, cleansing, or “getting your life right first” before you make that decision. In fact, you cannot get your life right without Jesus and the indwelling help of Holy Spirit.

The Lord Jesus will meet you wherever you are, irrespective of what you are, who you are, or what you’ve done. He died on that cross for you. He was raised back to life again, and He ascended to heaven to prepare a place for you so that you may have eternal life with Him and His Father.

He loves you just as you are, and His desire is that you will have eternal life with Him. All you need to do is open the door of your heart and invite Him in as Lord and as Savior. He will never force Himself upon you because He respects your free will. He created you with the handle to that door on the inside, and only you can open it.

Should you desire to accept this gift, I would like to help you. Pray the following prayer of faith out loud, right where you are:

Lord Jesus, Your Word says all have sinned, and so I come before You as a sinner lost in my sin. I ask You to forgive me for all of my sins, all of my wrongdoings, and all of my shortcomings. You have shed Your blood at Calvary that I might receive complete forgiveness for all of my sins, and I believe that God has raised You back to life again.

Your Word also says You are the only way to salvation, the only Savior of this world. I now invite You to be my personal Savior. I open the door of my heart to You and ask for You to come in and be not only my Savior, but the Lord of my whole life. By my own free will, I ask this of You, and in faith, I now receive Your gift of eternal life. Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to You.

I ask, Lord, that You grant me the gift of repentance and that You will cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I also ask that You use and equip me to spread the wonderful news of Your Gospel to all the ends of the earth, so that the Father can be glorified through the Son.

By faith, I now believe and declare that I am saved.

I pray this prayer in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

If you have just prayed this prayer, then I have good news to share with you! In response to your prayer, the Lord Jesus says, “I assure you, I most solemnly tell you, he who believes in Me—who adheres to, trusts in, relies on and has faith in Me—has (now possesses)  eternal life” (John 6:47 AMPL). He also says, “I am the door. Anyone who enters in through Me will be saved—will live; he will come in and he will go out (freely), and will find pasture” (John 10:9 AMPL).

That means you now have HIS assurance that you are truly saved, that you are now in right standing with Him, that you are now a member of God’s eternal family, and that you will inherit eternal life. Nobody can argue against the absolute truth of the Word of God, so don’t let anyone come and tell you it cannot be this simple. It is!

The absolute truth is that when you accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, then you are saved—period!

I also encourage you to share this new decision you have made and the new life you have inherited with someone you know, or even don’t know. In Romans 10:9–10, the Lord says, “If you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses—declares openly and speaks out freely his faith—and confirms (his) salvation.”

Lastly, we would like to hear from you and celebrate this most momentous day of your earthly life together with you, so please write us at ecmi@ymail.com.

We pray the Lord’s divine favor goes before you and that He will make level paths for your feet. We pray the Lord will bless your work of faith in partnership with Him and His people, and that He will use you mightily as His partner to proclaim His glorious message of salvation throughout the whole earth.

Stay blessed!
